Theresa Mundy, DC, RYT
Theresa first became interested in yoga as a high school sophomore when her track and cross-country coach urged the team to try it during the summer. She has practiced yoga for over 30 years and has studied with many teachers in varied traditions. Theresa started a regular and consistent practice in 2000, studying with her current teacher in the Kripalu tradition. Yoga has always been an important part of her life, but over time she has come to know it not only as a form of "exercise" and stress reduction, but as a way of self-discovery and healing; bringing yoga off the mat and into her life. Her exploration through yoga led to becoming a certified Kripalu yoga teacher in 2009.
While teaching yoga in the Upper Valley at various locations, Theresa also worked as a chiropractor in the practice she shares with her husband, Hanover Family Chiropractic. In 2012 they had the opportunity to move their office to a location that allowed for a yoga space, Hanover Yoga was born. Theresa's knowledge of biomechanics and the body has informed her teaching, while the application of yoga asana, has helped her understanding of movement and posture. Both modalities are great instruments of healing. Theresa's classes are lively and insightful; marrying flow movement and precise alignment.
Theresa continues to study yoga in its many forms and is grateful for all who continue to shine light on this ancient practice. Married, with 3 kids, she is always doing yoga!
